Craigslist Personals Might Be Gone But Cheating on Your Spouse Has Never Been Easier
In March 2018, Craigslist terminated its personals section immediately after the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act Bill was passed by the U.S. Senate. According to the new bill, online websites will be held responsible for the content that third parties post on their platforms
In a statement issued by Craigslist wrote, the law seeks “to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.”
“Any tool or service can be misused,” said Craigslist. “We can’t take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.”
The site then added: “To the millions of spouses, partners and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness!”
So how can hundreds of thousands of single and married people are supposed to find a partner for life, or even for the night?
One website people are turning to is GetXPersonal.com
GetXPersonal features free location based personals. Posting on the site is free, but, it does require email verification similar to Craigslist Personals.
The site is extremely easy to navigate. It features location based search where users can see how close a potential partner is or the traditional city search. Users can even choose to reveal their exact location, although this is only recommended if you are in a public place while posting your ad.
Sara — one of GetXPersonal’s users said: I love using it because unlike Craigslist the site is designed to get you there quickly without beating around the bush.
Unlike other hook up apps you don’t need to install anything on your phone. just enable location on a web page.
